AhlulBayt News Agency: Three individuals have been sentenced to death for their involvement in the deadly terrorist attacks on the Shahcheragh shrine in Shiraz, as confirmed by the chief justice of Fars province, Sadrollah Rajaei-Nasab.
According to Rajaei-Nasab, the Revolution Court of Shiraz issued the verdicts following months of investigation and legal proceedings. The convicts were found guilty of aiding acts classified as "corruption on earth," resulting in capital punishment along with 25-year prison sentences for separate offenses, according to IRNA.
The Shahcheragh shrine, a significant religious site in southern Iran, was targeted in terrorist attacks in 2022 and 2023, both claimed by the Daesh terrorist group. While the main perpetrators were either killed or prosecuted earlier, authorities identified the recently convicted individuals as key logistical supporters, responsible for supplying weapons and ammunition.
Additionally, four others were convicted in connection with the case. Two members of Daesh received prison sentences of 15 and 10 years, depending on their level of involvement. Two women were also sentenced to five years each, with their sentences being served under electronic monitoring within a one-kilometer radius of their residences due to special circumstances.
